What are the bolt-like things that hold on rock guards?

I loosened the rock guards on the front windows of our 2017 19-footer, and one of the little bolt-ish things that hold the guard in place liberated itself.

Now I need a replacement, but ... what the heck am I looking for?

Need a name so I can start a search.

These are the quarter-turn devices that you open and close with a Phillips screwdriver.

Just received mine from High Sky RV. Two parts:

Wrap Rock Guard Turn Fastener Stud 685358
Retainer Split Ring for Rock Guard 685362

Mine are still working well. My recent order was to have a spare.

This is great! Exactly what I need to know.

I have now found the little stud, but the retaining ring is long gone.

I'll order a set of stud-and-retainer for backup (maybe two sets) and get a retainer ring to keep the original stud in place.

Appreciate the informative reply, dhroberts.

I'd never heard of that parts company, but it seems to have a lot of Airstream parts, big and small. Good to know.

There has been some concern in the past about that vendor: https://www.airforums.com/forums/f34...am-188184.html.

dhroberts seems to have had a good experience, so perhaps they are doing well these days...

Interesting. Thanks for the warning.

I ended up ordering mine from Out-of-Doors Mart.

I hope thatís an OK company.

I've had nothing but good experience from Sky High over the past two years. I've only purchased small stuff including the stud, retainer and grommet.

My rock guard was not quite shaped properly and put too much stress on the grommet which prevented one from pushing the stud in far enough so the stud would not engage the metal clasp, instead it caused the clasp to separate from the rubber. I reshaped the guard, replaced the grommet and all is good.

I could have taken it back to the dealer but dang it is a long drive and it takes so long to get it back...

Zeus fastener

I believe there called Zeus (Dzus) Fastener. Had them on our Cessna to hold cover over windows while parked.
