Water Tank Fill City Water
2010 25' Flying Cloud. My fresh water tank is slowly filling when connected to city water. Is there a check valve on the discharge side of the tank pump that could be failing and where is it?

The check valve is built into the pump.

This happens frequently in many models. I have gotten in the habit of checking the tank levels daily. When I see that the fresh water hold tank is starting to fill I will turn off the city water and use what is in the holding tank until it is empty again. The check valve does stick from time time but not every day or even once a month, just often enough for me to keep an eye on it. IMO, is not worth a trip to service dept.

As other have said, faulty water pump backflow check valve.
If it is slow enough and the circumstances allow (terrain, weather, etc.), perhaps leaving the fresh water tank drain open is a temporary remedy.
I had this happen to me. Didn't have tank monitors turned on. Sitting under my awning and noticed a dribble of water coming from tank filler door. And I had just weighed the trailer the day before, wondering why it had gotten so heavy since the prior year.
Replaced the pump and the problem went away. I suppose I could have repaired the pump but it gave me an excuse to replace the OEM noisy one.
Should have paid more attention to the other symptom. Occasionally the pump would briefly run for no apparent reason. Faulty check valve was causing the water pressure to drop and the pump was restoring the pressure.

I have the same problem Kendrick wrote about. When connected to city water sometimes it will also slowly fill my freshwater tank. I check the gages often and when its full, I cut off city water and use whats in the tank. Also found a trick where I can use a short hose from external water spigot connected to my black water tank wash. That's a good way to empty the fresh water tank....and for a good purpose too!!
