Water seems to be aerated from hot water tank

Water seems to be aerated from hot water tank.
I am new here, this is my first post if this is not the right place or you have suggestions please let me know.
The water coming from the water heater has lots of little air bubbles and reduced pressure, this is before I turn the water heater on. If I turn the bypass switch valve so that the water bypass the water heater the problem goes away. I’ve tightened every connection that I can find but can’t seem to solve the problem. It does this with city water or from the water pump. I’m concerned if there’s that much air in the water heater it could be a problem.

I see this is your first post. Welcome to the Air Forum!

There should be an air bubble, a cushion for expansion, inside of the water heater. This is normal. Do not activate the pressure relief valve or the WH will loose this bubble. Then the pressure relief valve might start dripping to relieve expansion when water is heated.

Aeration happens at the faucet, not in the water heater. You might unscrew the aerator and clean it if flow is reduced.

Have you flushed the water heater, prior to turning on the faucet? This is maintenance you should be performing (see the water heater pamphlet that came with the trailer )

PS
If hot water flow is reduced and if your trailer has a water tempering/mixing valve that is another thing that has a screen that captures particles when the water heater is not maintained properly. If this gets stopped up, it requires removal and repairing the mixing valve.

After towing there is always air in the lines... you just have to let it clear. The hot water tank has the biggest bubble.
