Water Heater Problem

Hello Everyone,

I just got back to Canada where I had my 2005 30 Classic stored for the winter.
It was winterized by a professional. However, when I hooked up the water and turned on the pump, I let the water get up to pressure and ran both hot and cold water. I then flipped the switch and heard the gas water heater ignite and thought everything was OK. However a few minutes later I heard some noise coming from the water heater, opened up the outside cover and the burner was on but it was making a lot of racket. I shut it off and now the burner comes back on but shuts off quickly. Any ideas of what might have happened and how I fix it?
Thanks for your help.

Robert

Is the water heater bypassed? Make sure the valves allow water to flow through the heater tank.

Any evidence of soot at the burner or exhaust louvers?

Does it sound like a lawn mower that has a bad miss? Pop poof Pop poof etc?

Water Heater

Thanks everybody. I found out that I had not opened one of the valves for water.
What a relief!
