Washing your AS
Where do you all wash your Airstream? We live in a retirement community and do not have a yard or drive to wash an rv in. And our storage facility doesn't have a wash rack.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Take it to a self wash. Usually the bays are large enough to fit the trailer. Or you could consider getting a mobile wash service to do for you.

We live in a community with no room for our trailer in our driveway. Storage is off site, with no access to water.
We might use a self-serve care wash, if it is pretty dirty.
But, more often, I use a waterless wash, at the storage site.
There are a number of products, and the Rain-X Waterless Wash, from my local WalMart. It does a good job on the trailer. (not quite as good on my dark truck - it's a little streaky.)
I take it with us on the road, and try to wipe it down now and then, when it gets dusty, or to get the bugs off the front. It also gives me a good chance to do a close inspection, as I work my way around the trailer, coffee in one hand and the microfiber towel in the other.

If you have a local car wash/ detail shop see if they will do it for you. Have one close to me that will clean up my trailers no problem.

I pull it up in front of my house. Wash it. Wax it. Pull it back to the storage facility.

Same. Just used a waterless wash at our storage site. I did just get a 12V pump and nozzle on Amazon to see how that works. Next tome.

I'd worry the waterless would use the dirt to scratch the finish

Same here. If it's not too dirty and I'm not at home, I find a wipe with a wet micro fibre cloth followed by a dry cloth works well.

I've been taking advantage of Blue Beacon Truck Washes on my latest travels. They move trucks and RVs through pretty fast and do a good job. - Brad
