The good stuff works, whether it is something you would like is up to you.

I chose against having the Airstream done for the reason i stated previously, but Glare (which is sold at Jackson Center) seems to split the difference between waxing and coating. It is just more time consuming on the initial coat.

Before knocking ceramic coating, try finding someone that had a proper job with a quality product professionally applied that was not happy. I have been quite pleased with GTechniq Crystal Serum Ultra.

I did keep the last Airstream looking good by waxing once or twice a year. Ultimately using Meguiar's Polymer Sealant 20. Campers with much newer SOBs would be shocked when I told them mine was ten years old, but I am always looking for continuous improvement.

Well... it is a TETO item after-all, for us it's not worth the $$$...plus 'Cloudsplitter' made to 17 just fine without it.🤓

I Walbernize every spring and hit the leading edges again (usually) before I park it in the barn for the winter. The water still beads, but I like to get the dust etc. off for the new season.

I'm skeptical of many of these miracle products. Even if they work on cars, would they work any better than any old wax on the coating of an Airstream shell? Even if they do, I want to clean off the bugs and grime every year and it's not ll that difficult.

Walbernize

Good lord, I wouldn't let that nu finish near my Airstream. i always thought it was hard to work with and never lasted a month, or so on a car.

With the AS I use the Walbernize every chance I get. Its easy on easy off.

I like the Chemical Guys spray wax as a good in-between after washes for excellent shine. Easy to use.
I have used the Chemical Guys Ceramic coat on the Challenger & Lexus IS350. Its very good. I can't say its easier to use than other companies products, as its the only ceramic coat product I have used, but the results have been excellent.
I have not put it on the AS.
I like the Meguiars gold class carnauba wax, and have used it on the AS at the end of the season before and cleans and shines very well. Lasts to next spring easily, but we store the AS inside, its not in the weather.
Chemical Guys is easy to find,
Hope that helps, have a good one,

REJEX is what I have used for a few years since it was introduced on my cars, previous Class A motorhome and now our new-to-us Classic.

IMO, it is really excellent on clearcoats, is simple/easy to use and produces great results. FWIW, Airstream also now offers it on their AirstreamSupplyCompany.com website.

Wiping WD40 masks the hazy cracky look the clear coat gets when dried out from age and sun. I did that for years and got many compliments on how nice my old Airstream looked. If they only knew 😂

I was very happy with Walbernize except the sun and weather baked it off to quick. Then I moved ouu trailer to inside storage with fluorescent lights.

I was sick looking at the scratches and I go with the grain if the skin not in circles or against it. It took a Zaino scratch remover product to carefully remove the light scratches

I then started researching Glare and spent several hours on the phone with the company.

Five days later the products arrived after a total wash down with dawn I used the 4 step Glare treatment. I did not mind the last two coats, first two were hard work. Every coat after that it shines better and the clear coat feels smooth to the touch.

An Airstream with clear coat Aluminum is not a show car but I could see and was pleased with the results. Then I did our Ford F-250 town vehicle and was very impressed with the shine.

You will get a zillion recommended waxes and sealing products.

I have read that it is not advised to go back and forth between Glare and Walbernize. It seems like once you use Glare you should continue to use it. I don't know how any of the ceramic coating toppers like GTechniq C2V3 would interact with it, but would be interested to find out.

No fear

I thought my trailer was pretty well waxed then at the factory for service across from me was a 25 ft cloud that just stood out. I asked him was it new he said nope 10 years old it get a Glare treatment every year.

You can use another polish over it but why would you once youíve applied it right. The touch up Glare spray wash less product is outstanding for touch ups. I even bought their wash so I donít strip off the protective applications.

Iíve used many many products and Zaino was my go to best product by Glare has given me the best results on this Aluminum trailer

There are several Glare polishes. Specifically, which one do you use?

I'd be interested in the specific Glare product as well.

Thanks!

I just finished my new Globetrotter with Glare+ Professional Polish. Applied two coats as described on the bottle. Didn't get any pictures and I am not near it currently, but it came out great. I applied it to the aluminum, plastic and glass including everything on the roof.

The Airstream store had only two of the essentials and with no one to explain them I just put them back on the shelf

Pictures below

You start with a good dawn wash then use
1: Glare Knockout followed by
2: Glare Spider followed by
3: Glare Micro Finish followed by
4: Glare Professional Polish

The Ultra wash is washing and not stripping off the hard work
The Sahara is a wash and detail for after a rain or a quick touch up

I’ve included. a picture of our truck you can see the reflections of our scooter and bicycles.

I went to the Glare website and listened to most of the 23-minute video there. All said, I decided all I needed was the Glare Plus Professional Polish 12 oz Super Shine Polish. BTW - I went to Amazon and they wanted a ridiculous amount of postage to send it to me (like $11 or $12) with no free option;, so then tried Walmart on line. Price was the same and shipping was free.

Thatís a great deal

I got a heck of a deal for a bundle then the shipping wiped me out!!! Iím glad you got a better deal on Walmart

The knock out prepares the surface for the product you bought. If I had to do it over again I would have the knockout and the professional

Is in necessary to use an orbital polisher to apply the Glare polish?
