tree on '69 Overlander

This weekend, a storm dropped a tree on the back of my "new" 69 Overlander. Ruined center roof panel above rear bath and the panel to the right, plus wrecked the rear awning.
The owner of the tree is out of town right now, so the insurance is at a standstill.

When they do contact me, I guess they'll ask for estimates etc.
Anything I should be aware of?

I'll have to travel at least 140 miles to Bill Thomas AS in St. Louis, or to Ohio, about an 8 hour trip.

This thing stayed in very good cond. for 33 years. 2 months in my drive changed all that.

Sad and not wiser,
Don

Don,

That is a really sad story. I have a 69 Overlander that we cherish. I fear trees, hailstorms and rear end collisions. I've been fortunate and have had none of those calamities. I have no experience with Bill Thomas. I have had a variety of work done by Airstream at Jackson Center. I have never had a problem with their work and am comfortable recommending them. Their labor rate is pretty good.

Damaged Awning parts

Sorry for your misfortune. Maybe you can help a mamed trailer by being a parts donor........

Seeing that your rear awning is damaged, would you consider selling or giving me the parts?

I am trying to restore a missing wndow awning from parts.

I will take any parts that are available.

Condolences,

Smily
