Trailer lights brakes marker lights not working

I have a 2011 Ford F-150 4x4 TV pulling a 1965 Ambasador.I recently hooked up new brakes and all was working. Now I am getting a message on TV that says problem with trailer. The trailer lights etc. do not work. I get intermmitent "trailer connected", "trailer disconnected". I hooked the TV to a gooseneck and everything worked. The problem is the trailer. When I originally wired the umbilical cord I ran from yoke through frame to a junction box in the spare tire area under belly pan. From there I continued the length of the coach to another junction box in rear where all lights ,brakes etc. hook up.I did this as this was hook up originally. How do I trace the problem? Thanks

Here is a photo of the external trailer light wiring diagram from my old 66 Trade Wind owner's manual. Chances are your 65 was wired in a similar manner.

The wire color convention in use today was not the case in my 66. You may have to start tracing down what color wire goes where. You can always pull a tail light and marker light and see what color wire Airstream used in 65.

The intermittent response you are getting in your F150 may be consistent with the goofy thermo circuit breakers Airstream used back then. They get hot, open up, and then when cooled down, they connect the circuit again.

Others may be of more help than I am.
