Super tight screws to wall

Hi,
I am trying to remove one of the dinette bench on my 16RB, in order to get better access to water tank and wiring for an electrical project. I checked how the plywood seating/bench is attached to the body, basically it's 3 L brackets on top + L bar at the bottom. the 3 L brackets are screwed directly onto the wall, likely into the ribs judging by rivets aligned very closely. The screws are philips head ones, but very tight, I could not unscrew it with a hand screw driver, it's a very narrow place to put force on it, but I also felt if I try harder it would strip the screw head .
I do have power tools, 12v or 20v impact drivers, but I think they have even higher risk of striping the heads (I usually do torx and square head screws with impact)

It's also very hard to unscrew the plywood side of the screws, as limited clearance between the wood and top of the water tank.

Would appreicate it if anyone have some advice on this, thank you.

Super tight screws to wall

Violence and power tools carefully applied...sometimes brute force is the only way remaining!

Philosophy is force it, if it breaks, it needed replacing anyway...what would Macgyver do?

Whack it with a Hand Impact Driver

If it breaks...drill it.

Thanks folks, I am not worried about the screws, I am more worried about the aluminum wall/rib. I will see if I can get a ratchet that takes a hex driver bit that are short enough to unscrew the ones from plywood.

if you have or get a ratchet and hex bit, I use a small pry bar to add enough force to hold the bit into the screw slot.

I recently removed the door trim to tighten my door hinges. I couldn't remove the screws by hand even with good access. There was no doubt they were going to strip. A battery impact driver zipped them all out with no damage.

Bayou Brian Nailed it or should I say unscrewed it. Use plenty of downward force before turning.

You have infinite choices with a manual impact driver, the harder you tap it the more shock impulse you get.
Plus, you are turning it by hand when you hit it so your only using it to get it started and can tell instantly when it breaks free and continue removal by hand.

Be sure you have a good fitting Philips tip ( there is a difference) and use the impact driver. Hold it tight and square

Might also try an extension to get the impact further out for better control.

Just want to give an update on this, I used a ratchet and a short hex bit and managed to unscrewed the ones into the plywood, after I removed the bench I was also able to unscrew the ones into the wall with much better access. Thanks for advice everyone!
