Streaky aluminum help

Hi all!

I have stripped the old vinyl from our aluminum walls. I have used goof off and mineral spirits to clean and then polished (to the best of my ability). The aluminum remains streaky. I don’t necessarily want a mirror shine, but was hoping for a less streaky look. Any advice or tips?

Anyone have any thoughts?? Do I just need to keep polishing?

I think continuing to polish would eventually work, but I'm no expert in bare metal polish. I would try to put some ceramic coating on and see if that helps to fill some of the low spots and even out the appearance. You can get OK ceramic DIY coating off Amazon for $25. Worth a shot IMO.
