storage in Miami

Hi my trailer is in storage outside in Miami, so lots of sunshine its had its first 2 polishes and needs the final one, however I can't do this foe another 8 months, I had purchased a breathable cover but it has just fallen apart probably due to the sun, at the moment its covered with a blue tarpaulin, can anyone tell me if it is ok to cover it with a Tarpaulin or is it better to leave it uncovered.

Any cover that touches will put scratches in the aluminum that may not come out. Cover of any sort is a bad idea...
