Spare Parts

Hello,

I am curious; what spare parts do you keep on hand in case something breaks/emergency? I have a '16 signature.

Thanks,

Mark

Mark,

I carry some "stuff" to guard against the unknowns. But the most valuable other than tools and parts is taking some time to learn about the systems, water, 12VDC, 120VAC, fridge, water heater, propane and the furnace.

If you study up on these systems it can be a real plus if something acts up. A common example is the gas fired hot air furnace. It has a starting sequence and learning how to listen to this start up sequence is a big part of diagnosing and fixing.

Spares:
30A male plug end, PEX repair fittings assortment, some fuses and electrical fittings, good tool selection and more but it's a bit tailored to my rig.

Spare Parts

We keep an assortment of plumbing fittings on hand, along with a spare set of wheel bearings and seals. Also a quality 12 volt compressor, various electrical splicing supplies, zip ties in assorted sizes, and roll of good quality duct tape.

Don't forget a spare fuse for the jack(hardest fuse to find quick).

  1. All the tapes...blue painter's, gray duct, aluminum duct, various special 3M, etc.
  2. I had carried a left and a right brake assembly but mine are newly installed so I'm winging it for now. Kind of exciting to be out there without spare brake assemblies.
  3. Extra u-bolts and lynch pins for the ProPride hitch
  4. DC fuses.
  5. Surge protector in case the EMS fries.
  6. Multiple lubricants, especially plumbers silicone for the toilet ball valve.
  7. Extra 30-amp power cord.
  8. Extra water hose.
  9. Well-stocked electrician's bag including various WAGO connectors.
  10. Cash...lots of cash. And a couple of credit cards with lots of unused credit.

On the list to carry in the future: Fridge board.
