Shower vent stiff

The Shower vent seems really stiff when I go to close it (pull it down) is there a recommended lubricant so it will slide easier? Thanks.

The "dry" silicone spray lubricant is a good choice. Any of the dry clear lubricants are Okay. i would avoid the graphite ones due to the grey black color.
