Forget the online sources. Go to a tire store. They have sources.
I bought a set at a tire store 6 weeks ago and it was a hundred dollars cheaper than Tire Rack.

Good morning from sunny 100 Mile House! We’ve got a Kal Tire in town. The manager has 45 years with said business. When asked the same question he recommended 10 ply Carlisle trailer tires. They’re much more than I need (my 74 is only 6400lbs fully loaded) but they’re a trailer specific tire. Driven some very rough northern Alberta highways with no problems. I also had my wheels balanced. Good luck.

Discount Tire Direct
"discounttiredirect.com" has Goodyear Endurance, ST225 /75 R15 117N E1 for $145 each with a $50 rebate for four. The prices have risen since last year.
I purchased 4 tires from them last year (pre-mounted and balanced for free on new Sendel rims with free Sendel hub caps and valves) when I upsized my smaller tires and rims last year. They were shipped promptly, had fresh manufacturing dates, and were slightly less expensive than the same tires and rims at my local Discount Tire B&M store or competitors. These guys are great. Tires ship out of Arizona. They also shipped to a repair shop working on my rig in Camp Verde for my convenience.

I have a set of brand new 15" Endurance tires and wheels. We upgraded to 16" when we took delivery of our new GT in January. These have never been used.

An update to the Goodyear Endurance situation. My local Discount Tire had 14 in stock today at $145. I got a set and they were made the first week of June this year and in the USA.

I just ordered Ultra brand trailer wheels 16x6, 6 on 5.5 lug pattern from TireRack for less than $120 per wheel and I'm going to install LT225/75R16E on them. I have ST225/75R15 right now. I just can't trust 15" trailer tires anymore.

Water heater
I have 2002 classic. When I turn water heater switch on with propane, water heater indicator light comes on for less than second then turns off, propane heater stayed on for about 3 minutes then shuts off. Is this normal?

This next year is year 5, so looking to replace the tires. I called a number of places and they all said Good Year Endurance are not available. One site said they would be available 2/25/2022. Not a big deal for me, since I can just get them ordered and installed in the Spring. Not sure why the shortage, but I’m sure it has something to do with COVID. Plus they are the most popular brand RV tires, and the number of RV users has grown.
There are some other tires that are recommended, but I prefer to stick with the GYE.

pk95014,
You might want to start a new thread here https://www.airforums.com/forums/f445/ in the sub forum for water heaters. this thread is about tires you'll get better results and fresh looks.

I left my son’s home in Orlando this past Saturday. Hopped on the interstate and blew a tire. I called the local Goodyear store (Bumby Ave) and they had them from the warehouse and installed that afternoon. I replaced both tires and the spare.

We are still using the most current versions of the Michelin LT225/75R16 E tires on our Classic since it was new and the most recent version of the Michelin LTX [P] 235/75R15 XL series tires since our 23D International Serenity was new. The 15" Michelins must be derated 10% from the most recent sidewall load rating of 2,291 pounds to 2,044 pounds for trailer use per Federal law..
As the 25', 26', 27' and 28' Airstream models use 3,800 pound rated axles (Airstream part number 4109870-02), two of these 15" Michelin derated load rating tires exceed the axle rating and are thus legal for those trailers as well. I carry 44 psi in the 15" Michelions and they have a much larger tire foot print than the GoodYear ST tires which is great for braking and provide a much softer ride for the trailer. Note that CanAm in London Ontario Canada has put this tire on most models of Airstreams for many years.
Many on this forum that have single axle trailers (larger models have a 5,000 pound rated axle) have used the 16" Michelin captioned above for many years with good results (no failures).

I’ll second Carlisle. They’re kind of the king of construction vehicle tires.
