My 2006 Safari AS 25 has an awning on the entry side of trailer but it is the other side of the trailer that needs shading. Installing another awning isn't an option due to cost but I was wondering if a shade screen could be mounted onto the awning rail? Has anyone done this? I desperately need to minimize the intense heat being generated on this side which is turning my home into an oven. Thx!!!
Contact SewMasters of Yuma. They make various shades, some are hung from the patio awning and others are fastened with snaps or velcro over windows. Many of the SOB rv's in AZ use these. They will also sell you the fabric if you prefer to sew your own shades.
I made the awning for my 1973 Shasta for about $100. Stitched some fabric together to get the width and sewed some cord into the end to slip through the awning rail, a couple of poles, some rope and stakes - shady!
