Service or Owner manual
The owners manual that came with my trailer is in poor, almost unusable condition. Are the owners manuals still availabe? Do they make a service manual for the trailers and are they worthwhile?
Where would you purchase these?

Helen Davis, Secretarial Services, WBCCI, Jackson Center, Ohio.
Service manual would be more useful than an owner's manual, IMHO. It gives specifications and some repair procedures, with illustrations.

Owners and Service manuals are available from a few Airstream dealers for 1980 and 1982 trailers.
For some unknown reason, they are not available for 1981 trailers.

Andy, that being the case, would he be better off to get a manual for an '82?

Absolutely, since the basics are the same.

I have a 1981 31' Excella Limited and the owners manual is a 1980 "With 1981 Supplement" I've never picked through it to find the 1981 details but that's what came with it.

newer units?
What about newer Airstreams? I'd love to find a service manual for my 2007 Safari. But I get the impression that service manuals only exist for older models?

Service manuals show up on Ebay fairly frequently. They usually go for from $35 to $50. Depending on condition, they are frequently more durable that the xerox copy ones you can get from WBCCI secretarial services. Service manuals are of more use than the owners manuals. I have both for my 77.

Hi Helen
I just purchased a 1968 Safari 22'. I am not positive about age and size but I went to airstream web site and read how to read Vin #. This is the number O228-S231-2762.
who should I contact to purchase a owners manual/service manual for this? I also need to see a picture or details of the bed arrangement I think a cushion is missing from one of the beds.
thanks Paul
