Question Service Manuals

Hi, My wife and I have finally taken the plunge after a couple years of holding back. We have a 1977 center bath, aft twin 31' Sovereign.

I am looking for service and owners manuals specific to our new home. The internet seams scarce on good info. Any ideas for us to obtain these manuals?

Welcome to the Forums!

Check ebay first, I've always had pretty good luck finding service and user manuals for 70's vintage trailers there. If that doesn't work, you can also order them from A$, but they will be pricey that way.

good luck!

I got the owner's and service manuals for my '86 Sovereign from Secretarial Services. They are good quality photo copies that are spiral bound.

Can't remember what I paid for them.

Folks, while we love to post information regarding manuals and who is selling them, understand that they are copyrighted material. Unless we can verify that those copies are licensed by Airstream, we cannot allow links to information on how to obtain them. We do know that manuals provided by Secretarial Services are licensed. Also be aware that some manuals are on the Airstream.com site itself.

I've got the manual you're looking for. I use it from time to time when I need a picture to look at. Frankly, that's about all it's really good for.

It's a spiral-bound reprint. It pretty much covers everything - about one inch thick. Other than Airstream, it gives no reprint information. All it says is:

Airstream California
15939 Piuma Ave
Cerritos, CA 90701

I don't remember where I got it. But that Ohio location seems about right. And the $70 price seems about right too.

Plainly stated, the manual leaves a lot to be desired. It doesn't provide A to Z, point-by point, "how-to-fix-it" info. It gives general info only.

It gives part numbers. But for the most part, everything's been discontinued. But a good Airstream parts counterman can cross-reference most part numbers you give him.
