Service at Airstream of Scotsdale?

We are moving to the Phoenix area and wondering what opinions folks have -- pro or con -- for getting service performed at Airstream of Scotsdale. Anyone have some warranty or other work done there recently? How did it go?

Thanks,

Steve

I had a good experience with Airstream of Scottsdale. Was having trouble with our 2020 FC 27 main door closing with difficulty. We were heading thru the area and dropped in without an appointment. They did some shoehorning and worked us in for a quick adjustment. Offered us a car to borrow while waiting and sent us on our way in a couple hours. Spoke with the sales folks and they said the last 90 days were crazy busy with new sales and the showroom looked a bit empty as a result. I wouldn't expect that treatment every time but was appreciative they were able to give us a hand.

Our experience has been mixed. Expensive comes to top of mind. Took more than a week to diagnose a water heater problem (admittedly, we were in no rush) and then a quote of $1,400 to replace it because of a bad tank. On the other hand, they waived the diagnosis fee when we declined the repair. Was in earlier for a water leak repair and brake replacement which altogether ran to $2,000-+. They do wash your rig so it comes out sparkling regardless of the service! Am test driving another RV service place in Mesa next week, will let you know how it goes. They will at least allow me to bring in our own new water heater to replace the faulty one. The parts quote for a new one was north of $800 with sketchy availability; found a new one for $450 and they said they would install it for us.
