Saw this for sale..
Wanted to get this out there. This is not mine and I don't know the seller but I saw this on a local community forum. It was noted that it was reduced to $1,800. Sure would like to see an Airstream enthusiast snap it up and get it beautiful again. There is a photo that shows a dent in the top corner but nothing you guys can't handle.

I admit to not knowing much about prices of "project" trailers, but given the condition of this one (Big expensive dent, no plumbing, etc and a major project.) I would have though the asking price was within a reasonably fair range.
If you think it is too cheap and likely a scam, What do feel is a realistic price?
Just curious! I have been financially bitten too badly restoring old sports cars and don't think I'd be undertaking a trailer - usually what you see is the "tip of the iceberg!" so to speak!
Don't have space anyway even if I were inclined to give one a try!
Brian.

Just playing Devils advocate here.
If it's not a scam…It might be an OK deal for someone.
It might make a nice pool house, or man cave…etc
Hate to even bring it up, but the cool door and windows might be worth a pretty penny.
OR…Buy new tires, a porta potty and a cooler, and you might be able to camp in it.
Note, the dent spans two segments, and who knows what the dent did to the interior. It does appear to have something weird going on the interior panels, where the dent is.

Without the big Expensive dent, and if I really wanted that exact unit maybe $1,800. With that dent, it would be a $400 trailer to me. As it is restorable for sure but as has been pointed out a real money pit.

It's easy to confuse the Airstream brand & name plate combined with the word "vintage" and think it is automatically worth a lot. The price is relative to a lot of factors which are very well covered in this thread and many many more. Just for context I own the Airstream my family has owned since it was new. After sitting unused for 35 years it needed a lot of work and all of it was out of sight behind the walls and the cabinets - replace copper for Pec, replace and repair the LP system, battery, converter, new water heater, new furnace, new water pump, new A/C, and on and on. The interior, bath, sinks, fixtures, even stove & refer is the same as the day we brought it home so going by how the interior looks alone is a mistake in most cases. I think that by now I've probably invested more into than it is worth if I were to try to sell it. But the investment made to date is worth it to me because we use it quite a lot and enjoy it immensely. That's the decision process and only you can weigh the cost / benefit to you personally.
