Rusty screws in back of freezer

Hi
Dometic refrigerator/freezer. A plastic cover inside the freezer in the back of the freezer hides the screws. They are rusty & unsightly. Has anyone successfully / unsuccessfully replaced them with stainless screws? Does it screw up the freezer?
I might try.
Thanks

Hi.
Well I replaced the really-rusty screws in the back of the freezer with stainless screws and washers. One at a time as I didnt want whatever was on the other side to fall off . I cleaned the spots up well with alcohol and squirted a dab of silicone in the hole before inserting the new screw. I crossed my fingers and never heard any refrigerant hissing, its critical that you cross your fingers! Anyhow just finished wiping out (cleaning) the frig-freezer. And will turn it back on, fingers crossed. I will repost if a problem shows up.
