Rivets and their tools

Hello,

New to rivets! I would really appreciate guidance on what tools
are used for the following types of rivets and where I could buy them online:
  • Buck Rivets
What kind of pneumatic rivet gun do I need? What kind of air compressor specifications do I need? The only thing I can find online is a kit from VTS and they are sold out of virtually everything right now. Is VTS the only supplier for this equipment?
  • Olympic Rivets
I understand olympic rivets require a hand tool. Could someone link me to a website where I could buy one? Is this only found on VTS?
  • Pop Rivets
What hand riveter do you use for regular pop rivets, particularly the ones used to attach the interior skins?
  • Large Flange Rivets
I'm having to use some rivets with a larger flange to reattach my belly pan. They look like regular pop rivets. Do I need another rivet tool for this as well?

Check out Aircraft Tool Supply for all the tools for bucked rivets.
Pop, Olympic, and the large head rivets for the belly pan should all use the same tool. Those can be bought at any hardware store.

If you plan on installing a lot of rivets, do yourself a favor and invest in a pneumatic rivet gun.
Here is one as an example:

You’ll likely be pulling far more pop style rivets (including Olympics) than bucking and unless you are a masochist, you don’t want just a squeeze tool. This will work with a very small air compressor.
