Review of Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax – G19052
I am recent fan of Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax – Easy to Use Ceramic Wax Protection - G190526. It's just great.
I used it last fall when I put the AS away. So much work to Walbernize. The Maquiar's seemed to do well over the winter. I washed it this spring and was surprised to see water bead on it. I applied more of the spray-on wax after washing as I got ready for a recent trip out west. Rain beaded up nicely as if it had been recently waxed, as one might expect.
We camped in the Black Hills under a few pines and, of course, I got sap drips on the AS. To my great surprise, all of the dried sap came off as I washed the AS. I only needed to use my thumbnail to scrape them off. No solvents, no scraper. I never had that kind of protection from Walbernize.
I washed with Maguiar's car wash liquid in five gallons of water Used both a microfiber mope and rags. Rinsed the soap off and then sprayed on the wax. Then I use my leaf blower to dry it thoroughly. It looks just terrific.
Compared to the solvent smell of most automotive waxes, the fruity aroma of the Maguair's was a pleasant surprise. It's easy to spray evenly all over the surface. Work a section at a time and then rinse it off with a medium spray. Not hard as if you are driving it off but letting the mixture spread all over the surface. Don't let it dry on the surface.
It takes about 1.75 bottles of Maguiar's Ceramic Wax to do my 30' classic. I start with the roof and then the sides.
O'Reilly's charges $18 per bottle. But Amazon has it for $14.
Eager to hear of any downsides. Otherwise, I am hooked.
