Required Annual Maintenance for Warranty Purposes

I emailed Airstream but no reply. I have a new 2021 Airstream Globetrotter 27F. During my first year I had a punch list of over 40 issues, and then a hail storm that ruined the roof.

Everything was taken care of in June 2021 in Jackson Center. So it’s been exactly a year since the AS came back to me as new.

I read somewhere that the warranty remains only active if one does a yearly inspection and renews the sealant?

If so, could someone please help me with these questions?

- is this a standard service (like with a car)?
- do I have to do this at an official dealership? (My local dealership said they’d keep the trailer for a month at least ugh)
- how much is that service?
- can I get a mobile RV shop to come out and do it, and would that be recognized by AS?

Thank you all
S

Hi

Things you should be doing on a regular or scheduled basis:

1) Check tire pressure

2) Check lug nut torque

3) Lube a number of items ( they are in the manual ).

4) Watch for leaks and correct any that occur.

5) Winterize the vehicle as needed.

6) Properly empty / flush the gray and black tank

7) Keep the drains clear

8) Keep the A/C vents / filters clear

9) Properly dry out the fridge when you shut it off

10) Keep the batteries charged and do a full disconnect if in storage / off charge for > 1 week.

11) Keep things like the step bolts properly tight.

12) Latch the windows before setting out on a trip

13) Clean the burners on the stove as needed

14) Clean the stack and burner on your fridge ( if it's propane fired ) as needed.

15) Monitor the brakes / hubs and repair as needed ( they are not part of the AS warranty ).

Yes, that's a partial list, but you should get the idea by now. They expect you to do the routine things to keep the trailer running. If you neglect this or that, it's on you.
