Replace refrigerator board with a Dinosaur board

Put in a new Dinosaur board in the Dometic fridge(22 yrs old). Runs fine on AC but gas cycle has an issue. The gas cycle starts with the ignitor sparking, flame comes on, but the ignitor keeps sparking through the entire cycle, then it stops and the flame goes out. It will do it through all 3 cycles until it goes to the CHECK light?
