Replace Blue Vinyl Band

My '92 21' Sovereign need its blue vinyl trip strips replaced. Some first-hand experience advice with accomplishing this project would be greatly appreciated.

I'm thinking about using electrical conduit wire pulling lube to make the vinyl material slip into the aluminum extrusions easier. Anyone want to comment or have a better idea?

Did mine when I fixed up my AS - it was easy. Don't need lube - slipped in easily. Did it by my self.
Only problem is that over the years the blue stuff Vantage sold me expanded, pushing it out of it's track. Have redone it twice - one would think it would stop expanding - probably because of heat (Sun). But easy to redo. Do it on a sunny day.
