no clue as 2 when...
and 1 correction to post #10...
the 2 m-b shops are now owned by ONE company...
and it's a much larger enterprise than we might imagine.
Automotive Dealerships | Soave Enterprises | Soave | Anthony Soave | Tony Soave
notice the diversity of their holdings outside vehicle dealerships...
this is billionaire stuff.
how that impacts/plays out in the relatively mundane world of rv'n is unknown...
but this group with detroit roots is all over the showmestate.
and appears to have enough financial topsoil to grow a substantial shop.
_________
back to things in bbqville...
the rv dealerships are typically out where land is less $ and interstate access easy.
while we may like to think 'stream is a marque brand it's still an rv with rv shop needs.
inventory space, parts, repair/service bays, access via OPEN roads and basic REQUIREMENTS like a dump station...
and HISTORICALLY a clientele that includes a LOT old geeeeezer who need a few parts or want a new fridge installed...
and THESE folks will be driving domestic iron, carrying dogs and want a place to CAMP over night...
every new dealership deals with these things.
just erecting the sign pulls a lotta old streams/ers in outta thin air...
but IF the goal is anything more than a hobbist/showroom for a few units...
for example something LIKE the BT dealership which really COULD be the proto type...
for a full service dealership with the facility to SUPPORT streamers...
well, building something like THAT will mean taking a risk.
_______
of course the focus MIGHT be younger hip design-wise multitaskin' tweetr's...
who wanna tow with the kiddie taxi (m or g class suv)
or nearly retired who would like something to go behind the e class convertible...
or urbanecotroops who want something to fit behind their honda fit...
_______
it could be interesting.
the larger auto group that appears to be opening this a/s outlet...
does have a blue oval shop in d'history,
so maybe they'll demo some sensible real rig/setups too...
cheers
