Repair tear in vinyl floor

After 8 years in two air streams we just got our first year in the vinyl flooring. Just a small "V" about a 1/4" on each leg.

So how to repair it to keep it from growing? I could easily shoot some adhesive through the tear and glue it from behind. I have some silicon sealant/ adhesive handy - think that would do it ?

I used super glue and a hot iron on my kitchen floor. Blended it back together.

Good idea. Don't have an iron with us but I'm thinking the hair dryer and weight would do the trick.
