Repair shop recommendation needed Staunton/Charlottesville VA
Hello, I have a restored 1958 Airstream Pacer that has been stored indoors for the past 3 years that I am planning to sell. I would like to have it serviced/inspected first and I am aware of a very minor plumbing repair that is needed. Can anyone recommend a good repair shop or person (who works on vintage trailers) that is convenient to the Staunton/Waynesboro or Charlottesville Virginia areas? Many thanks.
Welcome to Airforums. That's a great Airstream. I am from Staunton and return frequently. Welcome to the forums. There is an Airstream park down 81 from you which should have some advice for you. I will see who else I can think of in the Valley. I may have some names for you.
Thank you very much. I called Virginia Highland Haven, the Airstream campground that is off of 81 in VA. They tried to be helpful but didn't have any specific recommendations. I have heard of a place in Lynchburg called R B Taylor but would prefer closer to the Staunton/Charlottesville corridor if at all possible. I dont think that it needs much in the way of work. Terrell

There was a guy in Nellysford (near c'ville and waynesboro)doing a/s work. his company did mostly restoration . Dave Mackel i believe, great high end work but i don't know if he is still in business.
He is no longer working on Airstreams but may know of someone near by, or perhaps one of his guys could do it. Depending what the issue is, a regular plumber may be your best bet.
