Reliable repair shops near New Orleans, LA?

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone can recommend any RV shops in or near the New Orleans, LA area? Specifically, I want to have someone go over and inspect the systems on the trailer we just purchased to make sure everything is safe. I also want to have an A/C installed since camping in the summer on the Gulf Coast is hot. Was quoted a price of $1500 to have wiring run, and a new A/C installed. Does that sound about right? Also, thoughts on putting an A/C on a vintage trailer? It's a 21' 1952 Flying Cloud.

Thanks and I look forward to your input.

Hey Tony!

Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! And, amen on the "Gulf Coast is hot" tidbit! That was the FIRST thing we checked on ours!

I don't have an answer for you but you might want to try the "search for an inspector" function on the right side of the main page... I'm sure that if those people are willing to inspect a trailer they:

a) know something about em
b) own one
c) have probably had to take there's to someone to get work done (maybe)

Good luck! I'm sure somebody here will be able to help you out much more than I have...

That sort of depends on "EXACTLY" what AC. Make and model info would be helpful.

Welcome to the forums! You may want to send Airforums members "Jim Clark" and/or "fotochop" a private message to see if they can help-they may know of a shop. They are both from New Orleans. Good Luck.
