RELAX 12v AUTOMATIC AWNING

I have a 2015 Flying Cloud 25FB. I am wondering if anyone has gotten an estimate on how much it would be to retrofit the manual awning with the ZIP DEE RELAX 12v AUTOMATIC AWNING.

Why complicate matters? The time tested manual ZipDee works great for decades with no maintenance other than an occasional shot of silicone!
The new automatic deal seems to have issues with motors and sensors!
Besides the big rafter arms look very ugly hanging off the side of the shell.... Just my opinion!

Some of the posters on the forum have liked it, others have had serious problems. One of the more experienced owner's has said the problems are mostly the way Airstream ignores Zip-Dee's setup instructions.
I do recall there was a post about the aftermarket cost but you will have to search for it. It was big bucks!

Jackson Center quoted me $5,000. Ouch, manual works just fine.

Thumbs up

Our 03 Classic has the Poodo automatic awning....

"Poo, we need the shade, please put up the awning."

And Poo do's it, automatically.
