reinforced frame

on my 72 LandYacht, I noticed that there was a factory fix to strengthen the rear frame. I have 2 patches behind the wheels. Would this be the location of the frame strengthening?

(Also, thanks for this Airforum, I have had my questions answered quickly and expertly, I have read most of all the discussions!)

Those are the spots that are reinforced so you can jack up the trailer. The frame reinforcement to prevent bending between the axles is a fishplate type metal plate bolted to the axle mounting plate that extends down from the body of the trailer. The Fix also included cutting into the back of the trailer and putting a reinforcement in the C channel and additional bolts holding the body to the frame. The patch that was installed to cover the access holes are called elephant ears. It is easy to identify a trailer that has the recall repair done by the presence of the elephant ears. I have seen them on many Airstream trailers.
