Polishers on Long Island NY

Hello Folks,

Anyone know of an exterior polisher for a 25' Safari?

I have one guy on the line but no one else around here is interested in the whole job. I'm doing the stripping.

I've search the internet dry!

Any ideas?

Park on the beach. I hear there is. Big sandblasting wind coming your way.

Seriously hope you dodge the storm.

Do not know of anyone who could do the polish job.

You do realize you can't polish that year to the same extent as the OLD Airstreams. The aluminum is different.

WoW.

I just found that out yesterday after applying the Eldorado PPG 5044! Nothing happened. The supplier says he'll get back to me. The 5 gallons is short about 3 ounces. Hope he takes it back!

Back to square one, how to strip or fix blotches.

Thanks..........

Try Citistrip.

There are many threads...on stripping the coating off exterior of AS.

Look up Nyalic. I learned about it on the forums. It is a bit "grabbier" when you slide your hand over it, but it blends well, you can't see a difference straight on.

A "clear coat" like a car has, may be preferred. Your call.

Once stripped of the coating you will be able to "resurface" but not "shine" like the older Alclad built models. Then coat with your preferred coating.

Being able to "repair" the inevitable "spots" that will happen, should also be considered.
