I need sliding pocket door hardware. Remolding a 1973, 31' land yacht spent the past couple of days building pocket doors. My goal is dual sliding doors light weight less then 1" thick and I've been able to accomplish that part just not happy with hardware. I spent numerous hours on the internet and in the local big box store looking for sliding door hardware that will work on my light weigh doors. I know i can't be the first guy that's built pocket doors for an Airstream. Can someone point me in the right direction for pocket door hardware? You can see by the picture I've tried the conventional closet doors hardware but just not happy with the way it slides. Click the link to see the pictures..
What you're using in the photographs is bypass closet door hardware as opposed to pocket door hardware which mounts above the door. Think your layout would demand the doors meet in the middle on the same plane, possibly requiring an astragal on one of the doors or alternatively, a nesting configuration where door A nests into door B
I have a sliding pocket door in the 56 Cloud and built one like it for the 56 Bubble. You won't be the first.
