Paining the interior walls

Hi everyone, we're renovating a 2005 airstream classic. We want to paint the interior walls and need some advice and guidance, note that we do not have the new "vinal coated" walls, they previously had mouse fur & vinyl headliner covering them but I removed all of that and just finished cleaning all the adhesive off. Our plan is to use liquid sander, 2 coats of primer, and 2 coats of paint. Does anyone have any experience with this process. Is liquid sander necessary? Any specific type or brand of primer/paint that works well? Any dos or donts? Any help or advise is much appreciated! Thank you in advance

We never had the mouse fur, but we did have the vinyl on the interior walls of the 66. We stripped all of that with Citristrip and scrubbed the walls with Simple Green. We primed with Kilz Adhesive we ordered through one of the box stores. There are a multitude of finish paints people have used. We went with Zolatone because of the durability. But there are plenty of durable paints. I think cleaning and the proper primer is key to a successful finish. Good luck and I’m sure you’ll get some good responses.

There is another thread here on the forums with pretty much the same title as yours and a LOT of information posted. Did you search for other threads on this topic? I'm on a mobile device so searching and cross-posting is not easy or I'd post a link for you.
