Oh dear, that’s a shocker!

We finally got shore power at the house. All is well, except that my husband went to open the door (exterior) and said that it had a charge! So there’s a short! How do we find/fix this!

There has been at least one recent thread on this. Your connection at the house has an open ground. Who installed the house connection? You should have an electrician check it out. It's very dangerous.

I had an election install the outlet for the shore power. I don’t know technical terms. So I may have phrased it wrong.
But yeah an actual electrician did the electrical work to the house. We haven’t done any electrical work inside Betty yet, besides installing a new AC.

Thanks Josie, so is this recent post more background info, or did the electrician just install a new outlet for shore power?

In other words, is the problem fixed?

Even electricians make mistakes!

Please provide more details on the timing of all this.

Cheers,

The sell cheap little circuit testers that you can plug in that will tell you if the wiring is wrong. I'd probably start there.

I'm not saying this is the one to get or this is the place to buy one, just this is what I'm talking about:
