Noise coming from behind panel board

I have a 2011 27' International. I just started experiencing a thing where there is a fairly significant high pitched noise coming from the panelboard area. Sounds like an electric fan that is going bad or needs oiling. Anybody experienced this? Any suggestions as its pretty much nonstop now and quite annoying. Thanks.

Sounds like your water pump might be running.

Thumbs up

If the converter is behind the "panelboard", it could be the cooling fan.
Are you plugged in to shore power?

Obscene title deleted

The converter gets dusty - get a vacuum cleaner and suck it out, especially around the fan. If that doesn't fix the problem, your fan motor may be going bad and the fan may need to be replaced.

Converter is behind the panelboard. I am thinking its a cooling fan. It only makes the noise when I am connected to shore power.

That's the only time the converter is running.

There is a small fan that is part of the converter. The speed is supposed to vary according to the temperature of the converter. Normally it should be barely audible but as it warms up in there, the speed picks up and a noticeable fan noise will be heard. The bearing in the fan is not designed for longevity but from the age of the trailer in your profile, it sounds like it may be prematurely failing if it sounds like a bearing noise. As previously mentioned, try vacuuming out the converter to remove a possible layer of dust that may be retaining heat and making the fan speed up. Canned or compressed air may also be helpful to blow it out.
