Thanks, I actually just saw that and was coming to change it.

They are not an Airstream dealer.

I have successfully ordered some parts from Silver Trailer Supply. They do have some used parts. Their internet ordering system seems to work. They are the only place I found the mid sixties rub rail molding. I bought used International flag emblems, and a used aluminum exterior compartment door with frame from them (not received yet.)

They are worthy of a try in my opinion.

They have been running ads in Airstream Life for a few issues now. They started as Airstream Supply, and I bet Airstream sent a nice letter making them change it to Silver Trailer Supply. This website is newer then when I first tried them a few months ago. This one actually works.

The domain name is registered to a web design company in Seattle.

I ordered a couple of lock parts from them. During the phone conversation it was mentioned that they were moving to a new facility in Salt Lake City, UT.

apparently its a russian guy named dimitri who is trying to open an Airstream dealership in SLC Utah.

Originally the URL airstreamsupply.com was redirecting to Inland RV, and registered to an LLC named Inland RV LLC in Washington, before they launched the site. I called Andy and he clarified there was no relation. Shady that the site is not registered to the actual owner of the business.

They also spam craigslist incessantly.

Using others photos, spamming craigslist, not returning calls, not sure where he is, . . . ??? Well, glad ole Dimitri has got enough money to advertise in Airstream Life but maybe he ain't payin' his phone bill? I notice his classifieds are empty too so his spamming must not be paying off.

I ordered parts online from them Jan 8, they arived the 23, longish time but I was in no rush. They had 5 items that are 73 vintage, new, that I have not been able to get. Very happy to deal with them. John

In this time of many scams, when I first called Silver Trailer Supply I was a little concerned that the person answering the phone had a foreign accent. After checking things out, I called back a few days later to order a rock guard and other items from Dimitri. I am more than satisfied with the service and prices, including shipping & handling, when compared to other suppliers. It's my understanding that a lot of what you see in company names is the result of a business deal with another supplier gone bad through no fault of both parties. IMHO, this appears to be a small business person going through a lot of growing pains in updating and expanding his business.

I bought something from him a year or two ago. I can't remember what, but it was an uneventful deal. (that means no problem)
