Life is a Highway: We're focused on buying a 27' GT FBT and, of course, we are alert to the potential Front End Separation issue.

You mentioned that the "The 23 frames have been stiffened, the battery box lowered plus better texture frame paint looks like Rhino lining". That would be positive news. How do you know this?

Thanks.

Cheers,
Bryan

This means that when the pitch of the TV changes relative to the trailer, the load from tapered bars will increase/decrease less than would otherwise be the case with constant cross-section bars. (This assumes that the bars are properly sized, e.g., the minimum needed. Using larger bars so you have “extra capacity“ is like buying larger shoes than you need.) so it’s not really about the manufacturer of the bars, it’s really about the shape and using the minimum size that will level your rig.

I don’t want to give the impression that the WD hitch is the only factor in FES. This is a very complex issue. Other variables include tire pressure, TV wheelbase, TV suspension, initial tension on the load bars, and the list goes on.

He got's it.....

Tapered bars FLEX...we transfer 820lb with 1000lb bars.
