Hi All, I just joined this forum and am very excited with the hope that I may be assisted by someone helpful.
I am in Sydney Australia snd am searching for an old curvey bus but to no avail. I have seen several clippers and GM's and silversides but nothing either in my budget nor condition.
I then saw an add for a Airstream trailer converted into a bus using a ford Chassies.
My questions to all you wonderful experts are:
Are such conversions common? Do they work? Are they safe on te road? Does any one have examples top share with me? Are they easy to convert into buses should I wish to do one of these projects myself? Any for sale?
Look on the forums for the motorhome section and you should see lots of information on Airstreams that were made into buses from the factory!
Airstream did make motorhomes (we happen to own two of them), and finding one of those shold be a lot easier and cheaper than having someone custom-build you a trailer on a bus chassis.
Good luck!
Susan
