Mobile repair in San Diego area?
Does anyone know of a mobile repair person or service (they come to you) to do basic waterproofing and re-sealing maintenance? I'm currently in the San Diego CA area.
There is an AS dealer here, but they've already had one shot at it.

Yes I have. He's been to my house many times and to our rallies. Other members have had him do work for them. I also recall him doing a seal job for one of our members. I believe he has to wash the unit first, of course and last time I talked to him he had a mobile wash trailer also. Talk to him and see if your comfortable with him. If not, pass and try somewhere else. No problem. I trust him with my stuff.

No I don't know for sure, but I don't think so. He was a certified airstream tec. I also don't know of a mobile diesel repair guy. Sorry.

Abe Hernandez came to fix my water heater. He is fantastic. Thank you Rumship! Abe gets my highest recommendation. Nice guy, really cares about his work. A true craftsman and gentleman.

I just had Abe out for a seized bearing. Great guy with good rates. He is very knowledgeable. Will definitely be using him for ALL maintenance and/or repairs.

Last Wednesday, Abe (RV Mobile Service 2U) came out and cleaned and repacked our bearings, and cleaned, inspected and adjusted our brakes.

Abe did similar work for me 2 weeks ago -- wheel bearings, brakes, and some other small adjustments. He actually uncovered shoddy and inattentive work that the local Airstream dealer performed on my bearings and brakes just 20 miles ago. It was a potentially serious safety issue, so I'm very glad for Abe's comprehensive and detailed approach, and very grateful too. Thank you Abe!

highly recommended
Abe is the only person we totally trust to do any kind of repair for our Airstream. He has done all of our repairs and maintenance for several years. Highly recommended!

I agree that if you can not repair anything on your Airstream after researching here on AirForums, the next best thing is to contact our local RV serviceman Abe, RV Mobile Service 2U.
