Leaky city water inlet replacement

I’ve now had 4 leaks and subsequent floods in various degrees. All of them caused by the Shurflow city water inlet/ pressure regulator. Replaced the unit twice now. Tightening the screws on the inside fixed it temporarily.
Has anyone replaced with a plain water inlet (no pressure regulator)? The one I was looking at is much smaller and would require a patch. I would then rely on an external pressure regulator to control pressure.
Thoughts/ comments/suggestions?

I thought I read every “leaking city water” thread on here....
I saw the flexible hose mod in another post and did that already. Will try to mount the new inlet in the flange of the old one, that’s a great idea!

I’ve replaced our city water inlet. I was trying to find a leak,and found the water pump was leaking and didn’t work anymore. Then I found a leak in the fresh water hose and replaced it.I wanted better access so I removed the shelf and make it accessible in case I need to get in there later if need be. I also added another shelf above for more storage.Attachment 1

We had same issue. I ordered a new one from Amazon and it took less than 2 minutes to install! Super easy.

Don't forget the Shurflow city water inlet/ pressure regulator is also an anti-back flow valve. So you also need to add an anti-back flow valve or make sure the cap is on tight if you use the fresh water tank/pump.

Unless that inlet has one.

I sounds like you are not blowing out the water fill when winterizing. If you have an outside faucet near the fill opening, find the shut off valve inside of the trailer, close it and open the faucet so that part of the system will drain. Not all trailers have this feature. Air is still the best way to winterize.

The new water inlet that I used has the back flow preventer but not a pressure regulator. I use a pressure regulator that I attach to the water bib before my water hose. Works good so far.

Need video or link to instructions for leak caused by showers temperature adjuster.

Had spare since day 5 home from dealer... expected this 3 years ago, not 11 years.

Spare water for all needs, 5 days on board, more easy.
Unstuffing closet, only bottom damp.... mercilessly uncluttering closet. Stuff on bottom damp.. one hour on that before 80% will never return.

Idiot level demo useful still.

Full-time in California, rarely gets below freezing. When it does I have heat on, open the cabinets and drip a faucet. I feel that should be adequate for 30 degree lows...

Yes, backflow/check valve is on order too. Find out Wednesday/Thursday if all the parts fit together and hopefully install this weekend

The new inlet valve might have a backflow already in it. But might not have a pressure regular. I had to buy that separately.
