This is an FYI maintenance tip to all who might have Dometic Duo-Therm Penguin roof top units.
I have two original AC's on my diesel Airstream with a wall control unit. Both generate allot of condensation which is discharged onto the roof and down the gutters.
3 months ago the front unit started dripping water around the filters inside. Found large amount of water in bottom of the frame. Checked other unit and it was dry. Cleaned up the wet unit but could not find anything wrong or drains blocked. Problem continued about once per week only with front unit.
Last week while closing the front windshield drapes, just as I turned around the AC cycled on and a white piece of paper blew into the discharge vents blocking 3/4 of the air flow. Its was an old label showing wire connections inside the unit. Removed the paper and no more problems.
Tip - If you have inside condensation problems, check your air flow vents first to be sure they are open and clear.
