Help I.D. this trailer

I decided to do a little exploring today, down a dirt road not more than 1/4 mile from my house. You can only imagine my surprise when I came around a corner and saw this: It's a Safari, but I have no idea what year. The serial numbers are b23LOJ136. My guess is it might be a 1960 but I'm not sore. There was also a plate on it indicating it was made in Cerro, California. Now, if I can catch the owner at home and......maybe.....maybe......? MY WIFE WILL KILL ME!

It's probably a mid 70,s. you can tell a 68 or earliers because the windows are square and they were only 7 feet wide. 69 they changed all that. Looks like someone is working on it.

Eastern South Dakota is very pretty with hills, rivers, and trees.

'Looks, to me to be a '70, '71, or '72. Also it looks like it may be a good rehab project.

I don't think that's a "b". It's an "L" for Land Yacht. Taking a guess.
L Land Yacht
23 feet
L ? floor plan - could it be a D for Rear Bath, Double Bed?
0 year 1970
J Jackson Center
136 serial number

That B in the first position, and the L in the 4th position makes no sense. What may have happened is the guy who stamped it mixed up the first and 4th characters so it should read "L23BOJ136

It's a 1970 Safari "Special". It has the rear corner bath and rear corner double bed. Tambor top cabinets, wood bottom cabinets double bed in the front.

Enjoy,

These trailers make you feel like you're in a Overlander (27') in the while in the front, or the Globetrotter in the back. They also have a sliding door between the bed/bath area and the kitchen/living area.

Enjoy.

Thanks to all of you for solving the mystery. After looking at the serial number more closely, the first mark is a "D" for double bed.

p.s. If I buy it, I'll post more photos!
