Angry Help! Awning Fabric Dimensions - ZippDee will not provide

Hi Folks:

I hate to say this but ZipDee won't provide me with the fabric dimensions for my forward and aft windows. They are the standard 46" wide awnings. I need the top to bottom length - ZD calls this the "slope".

When I asked (twice):

ZD: "I have no idea, you have to measure your fabric".

Me: "I have no fabric to measure".

ZD: "Oh".

Me: "All I need is the length, or slope as you call it"

ZD "Why would you want to repair it yourself? ha, ha, ha".

Me: "Because I know how to upholster, & I have already rebuilt the units"

ZD: "Yea, I don't really know"

Me: "So you're just not going to tell me?"

ZD: "Silence".

Grrr!

Any help is super appreciated!

Thanks!

Do you have all the hardware and is it installed? If it isn't installed, you may be better off determining the width of the material (i.e., the length of the awning material and order the complete awning from Zip-Dee. I recently had to have a street-side awning replaced and it came with the new-style of railing. It seems that you cannot use the old style railing with the newer awnings.

I am surprised at the fact Zip Dee gave you a hard time. I have always been treated very well by them. Ask for Linda Johnson, I am told she is best to deal with!

My 25', 1988 Excella. The awnings are 18.5" from the bead on the upper end that goes into the aluminum slide to the seam at the center of the loop for the bottom steel tube. The slope does not seem to be a critical dimension because the awnings are held open by a strap from the awning down to the side of the trailer so it might not matter if the slope is a little shorter or longer.
