Help - 1997 Landyacht sewer hose adapter?

Hello all.

So I purchased the Camco RhinoFlex Heavy Duty RV Sewer Hose Kit, but the bayonet fitting (with four prongs) does not fit on the 1997 Landyacht sewer pipe. The landyacht sewer pipe seems to be about a 1/4" to 1/2" bigger than what the Camco is expecting.

I have scoured the manual for info on the correct sewer pipe fitting but have had zero luck.

Anyone out there know what the correct sewer hose kit is for a 1997 Landyacht?

You need a Valterra to Thetford adapter.

Thank you!

Thank you @n2916s !

I found the adapter , I put it directly into the rv sewer pipe, and the “regular” hose fits much better.

Thank you for the tip! No way I would have figured this out on my own...

I have only used it once- but there is waste water that leaks between the adapter and hose. Just looks like poor design as the hose/adapter don’t join together tightly.

Maybe try another adaptor or hose. Is the gasket in place? That is not a joint that usually leaks. It is certainly not a poor design problem. What you can do that might make things better is to install the adaptor on the dump outlet with silicone seal. And you can get neat little plastic levers to tighten and loosen the Rhino fittings. When you get it right it will not leak.

If you are bold and if there is enough pipe showing you can cut off the Telford fitting and permanently install a Valterra fitting. That is what I did on my trailer.
