Heater Reliability

Okay,

I tried to post this earlier and thought it went through.

So I have an issue with my Heater in my '77 Ambassador.

The original heater lasted until 1999 when it was replaced with a NT-34SP.

Fast forward 3 NT-34SP's and I just put the 5th heater into my AS.

Is this unit too big for a '77 29' AMB???

Contacted Suburban and they gave me the four heater issues and have been able to eliminate three of the four. The one issue giving me concern is the volume of air exiting the heater through the factory installed outlets. I have taken the 2" x 6" grill off of the kitchen/living room outlet because it seemed too small and the other two 4" taps go into the factory installed hard duct plenums that have taps to the belly pan, shower floor, and on to the rear bedroom toasty toe floorboard duct.

I trust that all of you knowledgable folks will be able to contribute information that will help me extend the life of my new $850 unit.

Help!!!

The installation manual will tell you the minimum total area of openings in the plenum. You might have to do some math and closely scrutinize the duct runs. Never close off runs below the minimum.
