It is quite frustrating!!!!

Though - maybe the OP didn't have a quote yet from AS and the guesses here put him in shock?

I think I'm in the right zone though of $12K.

No need to behead the lad just yet . . . wow . . . so quick to judge . . .

Maybe no quote yet on the work to be done?

Maybe he has a life outside of Air Forums?

Maybe he is off camping and enjoying the real world?

Hi

.... wait, I thought you went camping so you would have *more* time to be on the forum? Did I miss something in that lecture?

I had 6 skins replaced for a similar "scratch" for $22k (also included awning arm replacement and door removal/installation for that skin). Progressive insurance premium went up $1K.

My guess is $15k.

it was so frustrating waiting for the answer that i backed my AS into a tree just to recreate the damage. After explaining this to my insurance man, i got cancelled! I will use the lowest estimate here and will be bringing my airstream to you soon. [emoji23]

Unfortunately "backing into a tree" does not replicate the damage shown in the first post, so you will have to do a second crash reconstruction, turk123, in order to get an accurate estimate!

Are they replacing panels? Or just doing a dent removal type procedure?

Repair Cost

Had similar damage to the lower panels, it cost $6500 to replace panels.

Hi

Time to fire up the black helicopter fleet and track this trailer down. Then fly it to JC so we can get the answer

It's just a scratch! Forget it! Call it a souvenir and enjoy the day ahead!

We got attacked by a bear (gas station) and it costs up $8,500 to replace the panels. Ours was lower and had to replace the ground power outlet. But they had to basically remove everything to get it done.

I know exactly how much it costs because I’ve done the same. Kissed a tree in our backyard and damaged the rear awning arm in the process. I’d rather have knocked down the tree. All I could say is thank goodness for insurance.

I see I’ve been visited by the sideways photo fairy. Not sure how to fix it on my phone. Will try when I get to my MacBook.
