Hi

With *any* repair, there is no valid cost until it's all finished and buttoned back up. They pull this or that and "discover" something .... up goes the cost.

You probably are better off letting the insurance pay for the damage. You *will* see a rate increase so it's not like it's free. None the less the hit on resale will be significant. There's a much smaller group of buyers willing to go for "not quite the best of the best" when they are shopping.

I'll guess $16,777.77. I think that puts us way past the required 10 guesses to find out who wins the prize. There is a great big prize isn't there ?

The OP must have had a stroke or heart attack when the estimate came back!
We may never know!
My guess, just north of $8k.

So?

That is way more than 10 guesses. I'm really interested in the answer. We need to have a tree removed and due to the path to get the pieces out, I'm thinking of having them do it while we are out camping.

OP needs to be banned from future games hosting.

Is it too late to raise my guesstimate?

I stupidly tapped my 2015 23D against my carport rain gutter. The gutter was fine. The AS needed 3 creased upper rear panels (including both end caps) replaced, awning rods replaced and other bits and pieces. AS dealer quoted me $9200. Quick way to get nauseous. Insurance will cover it, but I am distressed to think what my Progressive premium will be next year? Man, that was a hard lesson to learn because I know better! NEVER back up until you are very sure what clearance you have. Then still be extra conservative in how much you back it up.
Also interested to know what OP repair estimate was.

A cheaper alternative would be to have a vinyl wrap installed over that area. The graphic possibilities would be endless. If you don't like it you can always part with the $$$ at a later date.

That’s not what I would call a “scratch”. Looks more like major body damage, including dented aluminum panels! Ouch!!
Sorry to see that. That will be very costly!

$10,000. Best to take the insurance money and 10 grand from me and just quit camping altogether. It's very depressing to look at. Let me know if you can't take it any more.

I have quoted you so you will get an email from AF hopefully, as inquiring minds want to know . . .

$15,000 not including any frame repair, which may be required for at least the one midway between the window and the top louvered access door IMO.

One tenth the sticker price of today's version of your trailer, plus arbor services and tax.
