Grass hinge

Is this hinge broken? How do I repair it ? Their are screwed heads and threads running through the unit they are unrelated, meaning the screw heads do not move the treads. It appears the "screw heads" are for adjustment.

This looks like a very complicated mechanism. I wonder why?

In ant event I need to fix this or replace this and I don't know how.

2018 25ft Flying Cloud RTB.

I have read some other threads but I'm still confused.

The picture was taken correctly but it was rotated. Im sorry it is not in the proper orientation.

Many thanks

Grass (and Blum) hinges like this have been around for decades. They are often called European-style hinges. Here is one of a number of YouTube videos about adjusting European-style hinges: .

It's okay.
First, look at the two parts, you'll see a jaw on one and a catch on the other.
Look at an assembled hinge to see how they fit together. Engage those two parts, then using the heel of your hand give the assembly a good whack. They should latch back up.

Notice the little lever at the very back of the hinge. If that gets bumped, the parts separate. So go to this web site and buy about 40 of the little plastic guards to clip over that lever.

You'll pay for shipping so don't underestimate how many you need.

There are not two parts there is one part. In the past I've whacked it with the palm of my hand to re-engage it... that doesn't work anymore.

Molly's dad and Tim, thanks for your help. I took the door off. Both hinges were acting up. I was able to get the one that was stuck together... unstuck. I put everything back together and we are "back in business". Thanks again.
