Free Parts!!!!
Since the offers on the parts from my 68 Safari have dried up recently I will be ordering a rollaway dumpster to to carry it all away. I will finally have a garage and shed again.
Parts are free for pickup (Within a reasonable time), or the cost of shipping. If you want an item, please don't ask me to dissassemble everything on a certain item since I am not charging anything for it..take the whole thing.
I have the entire bathroom, cabinetry, sink and countertop, black tank, control panel, side gaucho, fender wells (Which were sandblasted), vents, plastic under sofa bins, furnace, water heater (Unknown if they work), 40 feet of 7-pin trailer cable (New in box for a rebuild that never happened), and much more.
I would like to order my dumpster in 1-2 weeks, so let me know quickly.
Steve
Now if I can find a way to get the belly skin t a recycler.

Steve,
I can always make use of the bins - don't want to see them tossed. Let me know what you would need to ship them if you are willing to do so. Thanks for offering these items.

parts
Steve, I know how much you want to get your shed/garage back. I feel the same way. I would like the wheel wells and if no one else gets anything I might just load up some other items like bins etc when I come down to get the items we already agreed that I would buy from you. I can come down this weekend on Sunday if early in the morning works for you. I will send the $300.00 paypal today if you will be available for me to pick the items up Sunday A.M. Let me know. Ed

gaucho hardware
Hi Steve,
If no one claims the side gaucho and if it has the metal pieces (2 male on the wooden piece - 2 female on the back of the cushion) that hold the back cushion to the wooden piece on the wall, I'd be interested in buying those from you. Don't need the whole gaucho.
Thanks,
George Beebe

Shower Curtain Revisited
Hi Steve,
I would like the shower curtain. I ha PM’ed you about is before. Recent problems with my Excella, read dying AC, have caused problems with the resale of my 1967 Trade Wind. The shower curtain would be an improvement, but it is being sold “as is,” as a fixer upper. It would be a major improvement, though. Thanks again to CombatMedic for the Karma about walking through National with a plastic flamingo head sticking out of my luggage. You kinnda had to be there. Congrats on the new trailer, and I’m sorry I didn’t get to meet both of you when you came to Searcy to pickup your new Airstream. I will be glad to cover shipping.

Steps?
Hi Steve,
I'm new to the forum. Getting '72 Argosy next week. I need the steps -- 2 steps that fold down. Mine is missing the lower step. I have no idea if your '68 would be same size as for my '72. Can someone help here? Are they the same? If yes, do you you have them?
How close are you to Kansas City? I might be able to arrange a friend to pick them up if you are close to KC or Blue Springs or Independence. Would make it easier for you than having to ship.
Let me know.
Thanks,
Allie

Allie,
I think your 1972 uses the same step as my 1975, IIRC they changed to a different step assembly in 1977. New parts will be expensive! But they are most likely available from any good vintage Airstream dealer. I buy a fair number of my parts from Out-of-Doors Mart in Colfax, NC. They do phone and mail orders.

Thanks Gene,
I’ll buy you lunch in Searcy. Maybe even upscale from Taco Bell. Seriously, I appreciate it. Karma coming your way. You too, Steve.

Window thingies
Hi there,
I need the window crank doohickies that pull the bottom of the window in tight. They are rectangular and mount on the bottom of the window frame. Not the clips on the window itself but the part that hooks into them. They say Phillips/Dayton on them. Do they have name?? I need 3 but six would be even better. I would gladly pay for shipping.
Thanks,
Jess
